BIOGRAPHY
From his childhood, he sang with his brothers and sister on the pews of the church in his neighborhood and followed his father's vocal group on stage. It is to him that he owes the desire to become a musician.
After learning choral singing and piano at the age of 6, his first compositions and concerts arrived at the age of 13. Then, he studied the trumpet at the conservatory of Rouen.
At the age of 20, he had the chance to meet the French jazz drummer Christian Garros (1920/1988) thanks to whom he perfected his craft as a singer and trumpeter by traveling through Europe and the United States in his Big-Band for 20 year.
Thus he has accompanied or recorded with big names in Gospel and Jazz; Dee Dee Bridgewater, Rhoda Scott, Elisabeth Kontomanou, Sam Woodyard, Ted Nash, Glen Ferrys, Guy Laffite, Martial Solal, Daniel Humair, Stéphane Belmondo… and participated in numerous national radio and television programs (M6, A2, France 3, France Inter, France Music, France Culture).
In 1985, while a chorister in the studio, he joined the creation of the professional vocal quartet "The Gospel Singers" who actively participated on the national scene in the emergence of French gospel for 30 years.
In 1996, he moved to the south of France and multiplied his concerts with new shows (Tribute to Ray Charles, Ella & Louis, special Chet Baker…).
In 2001, he decided to share his experience of Gospel singing and created his first Gospel school in La Londe les Maures, then a second in Solliès Pont in 2006 and a third in 2007 in Hyères.
All three in the Var department.
In 2009, he founded the Gospel Var, an amateur Var choir of 20 students from his schools with which he gave 180 concerts in the PACA CÔTE D'AZUR region in 10 years. French national television quickly took an interest in this extraordinary musical formation with 3 appearances on TF1 and a report on FR3 Provence Côte d'Azur.
In May 2010, the release of the first album with the Gospel Var " Kumbaja " referenced at the FNAC is the quintessence then a 2nd album " We shall overcome " in 2014 will confirm the maturity of the group and its growing energy .
Sharing and transmission will be the leitmotif of this beautiful musical adventure with all its beautiful encounters; Known artists, talented musicians but also motivated amateurs in his gospel schools who taught him so much about human values. The common point being to express love through music and to merge our beautiful energies to elevate our souls... It is therefore quite natural that in 2018 he transmitted his schools to them so that they continue to perpetuate the great sharing before settling in 2019 in the land of smiles in Asia where he is preparing a next album in French as an author / composer with new songs that are very different, deep and personal.
